Barra Nationals

The Barra Nationals is one of the biggest fishing tournament in Australia. It was started back in 1996. The event attracts enormous interest with teams coming from all corners of Australia.

Brief

Client approached us to design a brand new website for this event. They wanted an extremely engaging website to showcase their photos, videos and tournament history along with other relevant information about the tournament.

Solution

Being a one of the biggest fishing tournament in Australia, we tried to make the website as equally loud as the tournament. Instead of having traditional layout, we tried a bit different design with inclined edge sections along with bold colors, wide sections and large typos. Catchy hover effects on buttons and images add the further engagement to website. Just to add a little more user interaction, we added a countdown timer to start date of the tournament. Further features include a user-friendly navigation scheme that allows visitors to quickly find the information they needed. Website is also integrated with live social feed from Instagram.
