Catching Some Air was an 18-month research project from Menzies focussing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander information rights in renal disease. To share the findings of the project, a symposium was held followed by the publishing of a project report.
Brief
Creating a logo and a key visual for all symposium collateral and giveaways, including the digitalisation of multiple paintings from Aboriginal artist Norma Benger. Additionally, three site reports, one policy document and one final report had to be created, some of which were distributed at the symposium. All documents needed print well in colour as well as greyscale.
Solution
In record time we created a key visual symbolising all three research sites: Darwin (sand), Alice Springs (snow pea) and Thursday Island (sea). In order to facilitate the greyscale printing, we focussed on high contrast colours whilst making sure they didn’t become too overbearing. Among the symposium collateral were note pads, name tags, presentation folders, pull-up banners, a branded PowerPoint presentation template and certificates of appreciation.
