CatholicCare NT is a not-for-profit social services agency of the Catholic Diocese of Darwin, providing counselling services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children’s  groups and schools across the Northern Territory. Over the years CatholicCare NT’s services and the organisation itself have grown in response to need, now with over ten offices throughout the Territory combined with extensive outreach services. With the growth and development within the organisation, it was time to tweak the corporate design to compliment the evolving brand.

Brief

Social services are a very personal and individual matter. To reflect the care and support CatholicCare NT workers provide on a daily basis, it was paramount to give the brand a more personal touch. Our brief included updating the logo, a new visual style for all stationary, magazines, posters, flyers, folders, certificates, newspaper ads, email signature and merchandise, a new website as well as templates for reports, media releases, recruitment, PowerPoint presentations and social media.

Solution

We gave the brand an individual appearance by creating a handwritten version of the logo, with the logo colours being tweaked towards a warm and welcoming pastel colour range. For the overall visual style, we changed sharp corners to organic watercolour splashes on a handcrafted paper pattern, which connects the design with the support and social services CatholicCare NT provides.
